What is the CCMF?

The Criminal Case Management Framework is a step by step guide for participants in the criminal justice process, setting out best practice in case management so that cases are prepared and conducted appropriately, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Rules and brought to a conclusion efficiently and with the minimum of delay.

This part of the framework (Part 1) was published on 26th July 2007 and deals with the entire process for adult cases in the magistrates' courts, from pre-charge through to conclusion.

What is the CCMF?

The Criminal Case Management Framework is a step by step guide for participants in the criminal justice process, setting out best practice in case management so that cases are prepared and conducted appropriately, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Rules and brought to a conclusion efficiently and with the minimum of delay.

This part of the framework (Part 2) was published on 18th January 2008. It covers the process for adult cases in the Crown Court from pre-court through to the conclusion. It also deals with appeals from the magistrates' court.
